Jim & Carolyn

Jim & Carolyn

It’s not a rare occurrence that I’ll work the weddings of my client’s friends and siblings; word-of-mouth referrals go a long way in the wedding industry. But for only the second time in my ten-year career, I worked a wedding for one of my client’s parents. Backstory: a few years ago, I was the MC & DJ for Sean & Jamie‘s wedding and Sean’s mother, Carolyn, was thrilled with the celebration we had. So much that when it came time to celebrate her and Jim’s wedding at the Rose Hill Community Center in Mukilteo, she asked me if I would be the Master of Ceremonies and DJ for her wedding.

I was happy to oblige. And I was really glad I did, as it was the perfect way to cap off the 2015 wedding season.

Looking at the Musical Selections section below, the reception was designed to be simple, elegant, and allowed for a ton of time for dance floor celebration. I was nervous about that, as most of my weddings feature a predominantly younger crowd which is far easier to carry, but Jim & Carolyn’s friends came to celebrate. They might wake up sore the next morning, but I’m sure they’ll feel it was worth it.

And of course, a special shout out to Sean, Jamie, and Jamie’s family; it was so nice to see you all again. Thank you for your kindness and I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Congratulations Jim & Carolyn! It was an honor to serve you. The 2015 wedding season couldn’t have ended with a better party.
