At the start of the new year, I like to look back at the year that was and review the songs that my couples selected for the six most common formalities of their wedding reception: The Grand Entrance, The First Dance, The Father/Bride Dance, The Mother/Groom Dance, Cake Cutting, and The Last Dance. While there are several wedding music guides available, I find the real pulse of the best Mother/Groom songs for 2020 come from my clients: real Pacific Northwest couples planning and hosting real Pacific Northwest weddings.
And as you may recall, 2020 was a terrible year for the wedding and event industry, as the entire industry was completely shutdown in March at the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic due to government mandate. As such, this short list of songs is reflective of that situation.
