A Little

About Me

My name is Tony Schwartz

And I rock receptions

My DJ career began at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. I earned my stripes DJing in fraternity basements, at house parties, and in local college bars. It was a blast.

After graduating, I landed gigs at Seattle nightclubs but soon realized that scene didn’t bring the fulfillment I sought as a DJ. Despite this, my passion for DJing and performing never wavered.

So, while employed in the finance industry during the week, I spent my weekends DJing private events. Among these events, weddings were the ones that truly allowed me to unleash my creativity as an open-format DJ. I became obsessed with mastering ‘The Art of the Wedding MC & DJ’, immersing myself in entertainment planning, design, directing, hosting, and curating the perfect soundtrack for each wedding.

I found my calling, my passion, and the one thing I eagerly anticipated every weekend. I was determined to excel at it.

In early 2009, I received word from the firm I worked for that they were undergoing layoffs, and I was on the list. Faced with an uncertain future and a newfound mortgage, I realized if I was ever to take a risk, this was the time to take one. So I decided to take a chance and to try to establish myself as a full-time, professional event DJ.

It turned out to be the best decision I ever made.

Fast forward to today: I’ve had the privilege of mixing music at weddings and private events up and down the West Coast, including opening for prominent names in the country music industry such as Tim McGraw. From intimate gatherings to entertaining crowds of up to 25,000 people, I’ve honed my craft to deliver unforgettable experiences. In addition, I’ve founded two successful companies in the private events space: PLAY Event Rentals and The Puget Sound Photo Booth Co.

However, my aspirations now extend far beyond the West Coast. I dream of DJing weddings and private events across the nation and around the globe. Furthermore, I have my sights set on becoming the official tour DJ for one of my favorite country music artists such as Kenny Chesney or Luke Combs.

I’m deeply grateful for the blessings and opportunities this career has bestowed upon me. It’s truly an honor to even be considered as your wedding’s Master of Ceremonies & DJ. If my mixes and videos resonate with you, and you’re eager to create magic at the biggest party you’ll ever throw, I’d be thrilled to connect and discuss how we can make your event unforgettable.

I believe in a

Simple Philosophy

Offer sincere feedback and advice, be transparent, communicate well, and go above and beyond for every couple I serve. My aim is to help them craft an unforgettable evening for themselves, their loved ones, and their friends.

For me, the ultimate validation is when a couple gives me a hug at the end of the night. That hug tells me we knocked it out of the park and made their special day incredible.
